Hainault Station, Hainault Station, 194 New N Rd, Ilford IG6 3BD, UKJoin Hannah, Rob and London Wildish Club as we stomp towards spring and explore a new area of London’s green spaces together. We’ll start at Hainault Station and walk just over a mile to the edge of the forest before diving into the glorious green.

We’ll start with a scenic 6.2 mile hike to Ogden Reservoir (around 3 hours), followed by time to relax and grab lunch back at the lake (not included). The day finishes with a deeply calming 1-hour meditation and sound bath.
Chesterton Methodist Church, Green End Rd, Chesterton, Cambridge CB4 1RW, UKJoin us for a relaxed local film night celebrating nature and community action. We’re supporting a screening of Fugolburna – Streams Frequented by Birds, a beautiful documentary exploring Fulbourn’s chalk streams, Fulbourn Fen Nature Reserve, and the grassroots groups working to protect them.
Withens Clough Carpark, Withens Clough, Hebden Bridge HX7, UKWe’re heading up high for this one. Join us for a bracing walk to Stoodley Pike, taking in big West Yorkshire views and a route that rewards steady steps with wide-open space. Meet at Open House HathersageJoin us for a relaxed wander through a pretty Dale just East of Hathersage. We'll walk in the direction of Higger Tor and Burbage valley before looping back to Hathersage where we can have a drink at Open House and log what we’ve seen in the community log book (hopefully some early signs of spring) There is an option to extend the walk and head up to Higger Tor on the day. Lime Tree Observatory , Hutts Ln, Grewelthorpe, Ripon HG4 3DA, UKOur very popular astronomy workshop is back and will be held at Lime Tree observatory in Grewelthorpe this Feb. We will have access to their three telescopes and planetarium for the evening and will have one of their amazing guides teaching about the night sky in this area.
Kontrast, Unit 4 Long Millgate, Dantzic St, Manchester M4 4JW, UKHeat, cold, and conversation. Join us for an evening at Kontrast where we’ll sweat it out in the sauna, brave the cold plunge, and then stand around yapping about life (as is tradition). No pressure to do everything — come along in whatever way feels good.

We’ll take in Oxleas Wood and stop by Severndroog Castle, a surreal Gothic hilltop tower, before finishing near Maryon Wilson Park with the chance to say hello to the goats, pigs and hopefully even spot some deer. Around 9.6 km, mostly flat, with some mud, crisp air, friendly faces and seasonal noticing. We’re starting a little earlier make the most of the winter light.


Gradbach Car ParkJoin us to explore this 100m long, 20m deep forest gorge, Lud's Church. A truly beautiful and serene place well worth visiting at least once! We will walk from Gradbach car park along the river into the woodland. This really is one not to miss! For full details join our What's App group.


CAMBRIDGE: Wildish walk and talk in Cambridge Botanical Gardens /Brookside Gate - Trumpington Rd/ BatemanBrookside Gate - Trumpington Rd/ Bateman, Bateman St, Brookside, Cambridge CB2 1JE, UKOur first meeting for the year will be at the Botanical Gardens in Cambridge! We will be joined by Lois Clarke who is going to talk to us about bees and pollinating insects while we explore the indoor gardens. Wildish are now a member of their community scheme so admission will be free!




Open House, HathersageLets mark the winter solstice with a Wildish walk. The plan is to head up to Surprise View at Millstone Edge just in time for sunset. After the walk we can go back into Hathersage, log any nature sightings in the community log book and toast a festive drink! There is a ticketed dance event at Open House starting at 6:30pm if anybody wants to join Rachel for this.




Car Park opposite The George Inn, Finchdean, Waterlooville PO8 0AU, UKJoin Bex for our Wildish Christmas Walk doing part of the Saunton Way. From Finchdean, we’ll climb up onto the top of the downs. At 140m, there are panoramic views across the downs — from the Solent in the south to Queen Elizabeth Country Park in the north.
