This coffee is grown on the slopes of Mount Elgon by the Sipi Community. A community led by women (over 60% of the farmers are female) doing some brilliant things.
We think it tastes a bit like black tea, cherry and cream.

the brew
Grown on the mist‑shrouded northern slopes of Mount Elgon in Uganda, this washed microlot blends bright cherry and citrus with soft black‑tea depth and creamy sweetness. At 1 ,600–2 ,200 m, the rich volcanic soils and cool climate bring clarity and balance to every beanlangdoncoffee.com.
More than 60 % of the farmers in this Sipi zone are women. Their women‑led VSLA (Village Savings & Loan Association) does more than provide finance; it’s a place for training in financial literacy, model farming, animal husbandry and beekeeping. Mountain Harvest, the producer, was founded in 2017 with a mission to reshape how the world sees Ugandan coffee through long‑term economic and environmental sustainability.
In choosing to work with them, we were drawn to Sipi’s clean notes of black tea, cream and citrus and the community’s powerful story of collaboration and care.
