About the Event

Take a walk on the wyrd side with us on Sunday 12th October, as we follow ancient story lines into Guisecliffe Woods and step into the fairytales, myths and folklore of one of Nidderdale's most enchanted corners.

This relaxed Autumn ramble will be accompanied by storytelling and spoken word inspired by Nidderdale's own mythic creatures and cryptids.

We'll evoke ancient woodland spirits, take in geological wonders and marvel at prehistoric mysteries accompanied by local folklore revivalists Helen Alexander and Liam Newton from The Society for New Mythology & Frontier Ontology.

Walking distance: 5km with a moderate incline in the woods. What to bring: water, snack, appropriate footwear, warm weather gear. Dogs welcome on lead.
