Meet at Wildish in Pateley Bridge

YORKSHIRE DALES: A Wildish Walk Through Time

Led by archaeologist Dr Rose Ferraby, this relaxed walk will follow a gentle route along the edge of the valley at Pateley Bridge. We’ll be thinking about how we see time at different scales in the landscape, from stone monuments and quarries to the less visible traces of human lives. We’ll think about how Nidderdale has changed, and how we imagine what has come before. We’ll end back at Wildish. Bring: sturdy footwear, waterproofs, warm clothes (always windier up top!).

About the Event

🪨 Wildish Walk Through Time

Join us for a special walk led by archaeologist and anthropologist Dr Rose Ferraby. This relaxed route follows the edge of the valley at Pateley Bridge as we explore how the landscape holds time at many scales — from stone monuments and quarries to the quieter, less visible traces of human lives. We’ll reflect on how Nidderdale has changed, and how we imagine what has come before.

📅 Date: Sunday 23rd November

Time: 10am

📍 Meeting point: Wildish, Pateley Bridge
