YORK: Wildish Wander and Plant ID
Ever wanted to get into foraging or simply know a bit more about the plants growing around you? 🌿 Starting with a plant ID walk is one of the best ways to begin. Once you start noticing what’s growing under your feet, every walk changes a little.
Time & Location

Strensall Common Car Park, Lords Moor Ln, York, UK
About the Event
đź“… Date:Â 20th June
⏰ Time: 10:30am
Join us for a Wildish wander with Wildish co-founder and all-round nature enthusiast Nell, as we explore the plants growing around us and learn a little more about the landscapes we walk through every day.
Together we’ll wander across Strensall Common, stopping to identify local plants, notice seasonal changes and chat about the weird and wonderful things growing under our feet.
After the walk there’ll be time to sit, chat and enjoy a slower moment together on the common, so feel free to bring picnic bits, a flask of tea or some cake 🧺
As it’s a nature reserve there aren’t many places to sit, so camping chairs or a picnic blanket are encouraged if you’d like to stay after the walk.
