About the Event
This is a CIRCULAR ROUTE from and back to Richmond Gate Lodge entrance, on Sawyers Hill. Closest exit to Richmond Station.
Join us for a walk around Richmond Park, a National Nature Reserve and London’s largest Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Together we will explore the wide-open grasslands, ancient woods and take in the rolling hills. Richmond Park famously boasts historic herds of deer, but is also home to birds, invertebrates, fungi and wildflowers.
Within this beautiful green expanse in South West London resides the Isabella Plantation. We will dip into the Isabella Plantation within the Park; a 40 acre woodland garden including ponds and streams which provide habitat for invertebrates and amphibians.
Bring your curiosity for this rich and diverse green space as we check out from the city hubbub and enjoy a walk on the wildish side.
We will be meeting at an entrance with public toilets available – these may be at a cost.
Closest station is Richmond Station (Overground/District Line/South Western Railway)
