About the Event

Wildflower Walk in Lathkill Dale

Join us for a day exploring one of the most flower-rich landscapes in the UK.

The grasslands of Lathkill Dale are known for their incredible biodiversity, with up to 40 different species found within a single square metre. On this walk, we’ll take our time moving through the landscape, stopping to notice and identify late spring wildflowers as we go.

We’ll be using the Seek app alongside a few pocket field guides, but this is very much a shared learning experience rather than a guided session. No prior knowledge is needed.

The route is just over 8km with a few gentle climbs, taking us through classic limestone dale scenery with plenty of opportunities to pause, observe and chat along the way.
