CARDIGAN WORKSHOP: Foraging & Botanical Dyeing workshop with Sian Lester

Join Welsh textile artist Siân Lester for an introduction into the ancient and sustainable craft of botanical dyeing.

We will carefully and consciously forage for plants and lichen from the local environment, then learn how to prepare dye pots to dye some Welsh wool. 

At the end of the session, you will have gained an insight into the alchemical and magical process of extracting colour from plants and have some colourful swatches to take home.

What to bring:

Please bring along some secateurs, gardening gloves, an apron/old shirt and a notebook if you want to jot down some notes.
