GLASGOW: Castle Semple Loch Walk

A relaxed circular walk taking in lochside paths, woodland, and open viewpoints.

Starting from Castle Semple Visitor Centre, the route follows the edge of the loch before heading into the surrounding woodland. From there, a gentle climb leads to a viewpoint with wide views across multiple lochs, before continuing through the trees to the ruins of a collegiate church.

The route is well waymarked and follows good quality paths throughout, making it an accessible and steady-paced walk with a mix of scenery.

After the walk, we’ll stop for a picnic by the water. If the weather isn’t on our side, we’ll head to a nearby café instead.
